The brief

Cookridge Community Run is an annual event with a 10K Race and Fun Run, raising funds for Cancer Research UK. Held in memory of a local man, Gareth Dunn, who raised over £100,000 for the charity before his untimely passing at 27, the event is held in memory of him.

My role was to create marketing and event materials and a website to encourage runners to participate in the race. The objective was to secure sponsors and supporters, fill the race spaces and raise funds for the charity.

The outcome

The Cookridge Community Run saw full entries, with 400 dedicated runners completing the race, resulting in an impressive £10,000 raised for Cancer Research UK and local charities. (Figures based on the race in 2022).
